Pairing(s): Yugi/? (It's a surprise!...Okay, not really.)
Current Rating: M-NC17
Specified Warnings: This story will be YAOI, SLASH, Male/Male, Shonen-Ai or whatever else they're calling it these days. That means, sex between two male partners. You do not like that, go the hell away. This might seem rude, but
some people do not get it the first time around unless someone is harsh. Yugi will also be seventeen (17) for the
very fact that I need him not quite legal...yet. That, and teenagers are easy to write and this gives my stupid plot
bunny the reign it is demanding (the little bastard). Oh, and tentacles.
Beta: None as of yet. If you would like to, contact me here. I will tell you, though, I write on the spot, nothing is set
out, no chapters written ahead. I write when I can, at least when LJ doesn't take over RL, and prefer not to spend
everyday on the net or computer. I'm sorry if this burns your buns, but I'm living with a two year old (though he isn't
mine) and must take care of him first.
Summary/Notes: Yugi is out on a boat when he finds himself swimming for his life. Fortunately--or unfortunately--
he is saved by something...and then that's when it gets weird.
Chapter: Chapter the Second!

sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

"I was wondering when you'd wake up," murmured Duke, rolling his green eyes at the red-eyed man who lay quietly.

"How long?" His voice was raspy with disuse, his eyes crusty from long hours of sleep.

Duke shrugged. "Six months. I had to put you here in the Conical so that you'd stay wet yet allow me to get some of this nasty shit down your throat. This is just...ew," he snarled his nose at the evil smelling brew he held in the ceramic mug. He crossed his very human legs, his skin bare and tanned. He was a true breed and one of Yami's best friends.

Yami, of course, crossed his arms, the long stay unconcious not even phasing his physical strength as he rolled his red eyes back at Duke's melodramatic tendencies. Yami wasn't a true breed but a cross breed, one of the beings that had half human-half sea creature properties. His upper body all the way to his slim hips was human (that and his--eh, well, his manliness) was sculpted without being bulky. He was lithe and flexible, his human matching his animal.

"You know, Yami, dude, that this isn't going to work. Your little toy is human, buddy," he groused suddenly, is eyes watching the cavern walls over Yami's shoulders. Yami looked at Duke with sudden scorn, his lip curled in a snarl.

"Do not speak of which you do not understand, you stupid little goldfish. He is mine. Mine and no one elses." He grabbed Duke's sun bronzed face with an iron grip. "He. Is. Mine," red eyes glared into green vicously. He flung the true breed from him with a sniff of disdain when he spied the glint of mad hilarity glowing. "Stupid little cuddle fish."

"Hey!" Duke gave an affronted look. "I am not a cuddle fish...that's that little princess what's-his-name."

Yami stared at Duke before a smile started to edge his lips, and then he was laughing, full and throaty like rich chocolate. He hoisted himself up on his arms easily, easing his body up and onto the smoothed floor, his tentacles a deep burgundy-black. The underside was a deep electric blue at the tips and fading into navy the further up it went. Duke gave him an "up-down" stare, mock whistled and then choked when Yami shoved him into the pool the cross breed had occupied previously.

"You're a complete and total ass, Yami," Duke spluttered when he finally surfaced.

"I know," Yami smirked at the other boy, his eyes flashing eerily.

Yami slithered-crawled across the floor on his arms, lifting most of his tentacles from the hard and unforgiving surface. He might have been able to move across it without trouble, but that didn't mean he wanted to take on any annoying scratches or painful rashes that could have been prevented. He had his little human to find...

ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Yugi had finally gotten out of the house, his muscles weak without use, but he forced himseld to keep going until he found his hidden cove. His grandpa might know he went to it, but he had never actually found it to Yugi's knowledge. But that had been six months ago...

Hopefully, and with a little luck, Tea hadn't seen or followed him. He would hate to have to drown himself to keep that woman away...near (previous) death experience(s) notwithstanding.

His hair had lengthened, swaying past his torso from the weight it now carried even when it once had stood straight in the air. Right now, he had it pulled into a loose ponytail at his nape, the band slipping further and further down the mostly black tresses. Stripping to his skivvies, Yugi waded into the shallow water, feet touching fine-ground sand and large boulders and smaller, sharper rocks. Little vine-like appendages of seaweed tickled his toes as he moved around just soaking up the air, sun, and sun-warmed water as if it were life energy made tangible. He sighed, eyes closing as he rested on a little island of stacked stones, boulders, and packed sand comfortably, letting the sun and light breeze dry him off slowly. He blinked tiredly, slighlty dozing only to wake up seconds later then napping again.

To Yami, it was one of the cutest things he had ever seen. The boy was wrapped around himself, snoozing like a kitten in the sun, his honey skin dappled with the reflected light of the ocean water. He made his way silently and efficiently to the younger boy's side, eyes checking for damage, noting the scars decorating his back where he had collided with the rocks, two on his left thigh where another stone had all but impaled him, and several along his upperarms and hands. The one he was intrested in, though, were the teeth-marks that marred his neck. The pale skin, so much paler than Yami's own, was hidden by the long hair that drapped like a curtain of jewel tones around the small boy and Yami felt frustration take him. How was he to tell if the mark had taken or not if he couldn't even see that blasted thing?

Duke lounged behing him on the shore of the mainland, his green eyes watching for intruders and the abundant animal life that made the reefs their home. He had to say, even if Yami was a narcissist, he had good taste in his partners. To him, Yugi was like a tiny femme version of his best buddy: long hair, delicate build, large and violet colored eyes...eyes that made people think of the innocence and kindness. If it weren't for that tiny factor (Yugi's...manliness), he'd have sworn up and down that Yami's boy was a girl. A very pretty, delicate, tiny girl...

"Stop thinking, Duke. You're brain is going to melt," Yami sing-songed from his position next to the boy. A boy they didn't know the name of. This was going to be a long week, he could tell.

"Ah, shut up, you little mermaid. At least my mate doesn't look like some tiny girl," he mumbled back, knowing Yami would hear him. The growl was reward enough so he sat back, arms supporting him and letting his tail rest. As a true breed he didn't get in the water as often as his ancestors meaning that when he did transform (AKA - gain a tail and gills) his muscles wouldn't be used to the form or the movement. His alternate form, when he fully transformed, was something of a mystery. No one had ever seen what he was, ancestors or otherwise, so he was unclassified. Yay for being different...Not.

Yami ignored the other male and concentrated on removing the hair that covered the bite mark on Yugi's neck...if it was still there. He hoped it was. It would mean that he had found his mate, a life mate, a soul mate, someone to cherish and hold and...Erh, yeah. Well, time to fish my mind from its self-imposed dunking in the gutter. Humans have such a strange language but sometimes it's quite fitting...

Fingers sifted forward through the hair slowly, moving it to one side, the silky texture tickling his hands as it rippled like water. The boy stirred but settled immediately, nuzzling into Yami's palm. Yami almost cooed and felt Duke's eyes looking at him. Damn, he knew his friend was all but crowing with the black mail material he was gathering...Stupid human monkey.

The hair in his hands slithered and slid, his fingers shifting slightly to catch it all and move it. For hair, it was heavy and thick, the strands tangling his fingers and wrists making it hard to move before he had one shoulder, the shoulder closest to him, bared. The shoulder was smooth, the skin unmarred by scar or teeth and Yami felt his heart falling into his stomach.

Yugi felt the caresses in his hair, murmuring his delight in the warm, tender tugs and light petting. He snuggled into the hands pulling through his hair so gently and sighed, peeking his eye open. He closed it and tried to keep panic at bay. There was a GUY...and he was petting his hair...and, oh Kami, that felt good...He shuddered as a hand caressed his neck and left shoulder with butterfly touches, his hands coming up to grab the hands and hold them to himself when they tried to move away.

Yami felt a bit of trepidation when the little one started to wake up by degrees, first by responding to the touches in his hair, and then he had thought he had seen the boy's eye open, if only slightly. Now, the breathing was irregular and somewhat too soft to be natural sleep. The real turning point of the whole deal had been when he tried to move away and the boy had grabbed his hands. Now he stared into the deepest, most surreal violet eyes he had ever seen. He'd never seen eyes like that before, not in all of his life or travels. Eyes that color didn't exist, not really...

"Who are you?"

Yami was startled from his musings when the little violet eyed vixen repeated his question, his hair sliding around them as he sat up slowly, arms trembling with weary strength. Yami became concerned. He shouldn't be this weak, not his...well, not the boy. He wasn't, as of yet, Yami's.

"Yami," he replied quietly, red eyes, so red they looked like fresh flowing blood gazed into the violet stare.

Yugi felt his chest tighten, breathing becoming hard, and something inside him flared when his eyes met Yami's. He looks like me...well, almost. That was his first thought fllowed by: Fragging WHAT?! He's not...human...? Am I loosing my mind?

Yugi took in the strangeness of someone with tentacles...lots of tentacles that reminded him of that rich burgundy velvet that you just had to touch to see if it really was that soft. He let go of one hand and reach forward, fingers finding the soft, spongy surface not quite like the velvet he imagined, but still silky. This startled Yami so much that he nearly fell from the island, his tentacles and arms wrapping around the nearest solid thing to stay upright. Which happened to be...Yugi.

The tumbled back, further from the water and Yami somehow rolling under Yugi's slight frame, the tiny boy covering his chest and holding on tightly. He slowly let his accidentally-captured-somewhat-too-cute boy and felt himself flush. Yugi, his arms trying to push him up, was flaming, his face to red he looked sunburned.

"Your name?"

Yugi looked at the man that had just used him as a...well, what would you call it? "Huh?"

"What is your name, little human?" That voice was thick like chocolate, warm and melted. Yugi shivered at the intense sound of it.

"Y-Yugi. My name is Yugi, Yami-sama."

Yami lifted his hands to Yugi's nape, fingers flexing softly. "Yugi..." his voice was soft. His hand brushed Yugi's neck, the right side, and Yugi stifled an embarassed/aroused moan. Yami stopped moving, his hand still before he sat up, Yugi now in his lap, hands moving the thick hair to the side. There, on Yugi's neck was a perfect set of teeth, faded and stitched, but there.

Yami felt himself rejoicing, his heart singing. He reached forward, puling the other towards him, and kissed soft lips.

Joy, oh, joy...I got time to myself to put more up here. Be sweet and tell me whatcha think, ya hear?
